Fabrication

Making the parts (fabrication) is the key step for any high-quality steel construction, and at BT Structures LTD, we’re very proud of our modern fabrication abilities. Our workshop is equipped with advanced machines and technology, allowing us to produce a huge range of steel parts with amazing precision, speed, and consistency. From big structural beams and columns to detailed secondary steelwork pieces, every single item is made to exact measurements from detailed engineering drawings. Our fabrication process begins by carefully choosing high-grade steel materials, followed by automated cutting (using computer-controlled plasma or laser cutters), drilling, and shaping to ensure the size is perfect. Our certified welders then carefully put these parts together, strictly following welding rules and checking the quality at every stage. We use both traditional welding methods and advanced robotic welding systems, depending on what the project needs, to ensure strong, clean, and durable welds. Before any item leaves our factory, it goes through a full quality check, including visual checks, measuring, and, if needed, non-destructive testing (NDT) to confirm the welds and the part itself are sound. We also prepare the surface, including blasting it clean, and apply protective coatings like primers, paints, or galvanizing, to make it last longer and resist rust, as required by the project. This careful way of fabricating means that when parts arrive on site, they fit perfectly, reducing the time and cost of putting them up while keeping the highest standards of strength and finish.
